October 2, 2010:  I was asked by a friend to design a high quality, bare-bones economy light stick for him.  He needed a tall light stick, but also wanted a compact size for travel at an affordable price.  See what we now offer for less that $30 - PKF's Economy Light Stick.

September 23, 2010:  Here is a sneak peak of our premium telescoping light stick due to hit our shelves in mid-October.  The pole is constructed out of fiberglass, aluminum and ABS plastic yielding a light weight, marine friendly design.  It will fit quietly in rod holders and PVC pipes ranging from 1.25" in diameter and up.  It can also be mounted in a Scotty base.  The telescoping pole extends up to an astonishing 59" - that's almost 5 feet!

September 12, 2010:  we've been hard at work at the drawing board and in the shop coming up with some new designs.  We have two exciting new light sticks coming your way in October and they are sure to please.

April 23, 2010: Paul is now employed by and has been named the "Columbia Fishing Examiner".  His published articles will focus on local fishing trends, how-to segments and other fishing news.  Check out his articles HERE

April 14, 2010: Paul was just covered in a small article for SC Sportsman by Brian Cope, outdoor sports writer.  CLICK HERE to read the article. The fishing is really heating up in Columbia!
April 10, 2010: If you live in the Columbia area, head down to the Congaree River for some exciting striper fishing.  Every year when the water temperate gets to around 58-60 degrees, the stripers make their way up river.  What this means for Columbia fishermen is non-stop action.  Paul's go to lure right now is a Smithwick Rogue minnow in silver, but broken back hard minnows work as well.  The trick to catching them is to use a fast, erratic retrieve.  Catching 50+ fish in a late afternoon session is not uncommon.  The best place to fish right now is the Granby Dam area.  Put in at the Rosewood extension public landing and paddle upstream to the small dam.  Paul favors the left side of the river about 150 yards downstream from the dam.
April 7, 2010: Paul finished up another semester at USC. We’re back to work in the shop, preparing the site for a soft launch and trying to make some time to get out there and fish. New designs and products are evolving.
March 10, 2010: Upgrading the hosting for the site and we may be down for up to 24 hours...thanks for your patience.
March 8, 2010: Production has been at full swing in the workshop and our on hand inventory has grown significantly. Local sales of ALL items can be facilitated by contacting us at LOCAL (non shipping) sales will receive a 10% discount through the end of April if you mention this post.

February 21,2010: We are in in the process of retouching the website and getting some things in order. Spring is right around the corner - we plan on spending a good amount of time in the workshop, the classroom and out on the water.
